Mission: Best Burger

Mmm…burgers…

Two months into this food adventure, it was time to expand my horizons.  I couldn’t be eating Mexican food all the time when there is little decent Mexican food to be had in this city.  I definitely couldn’t be eating Mac’n'Cheese all the time, as there is a finite supply in Vancouver.  I had to branch out.

To what?  Burgers, of course! I like eating them and so does everyone else.  If you don’t like burgers, I don’t even want to know you.  This really seemed like a win-win situation: I get to eat burgers, I get to write about burgers, you get to read about burgers, and then you get to go out and get your own.  It’s good for everyone involved!

Whenever possible, I will also pursue Side Mission: Milkshake.  ‘Cause nothin’ goes with a burger like a cold creamy milkshake.

Interesting mission! Here are my suggestions (some of those you have already read about):

    Burger Burger (New Westminster)
    Burger Heaven (New Westminster)
db Moderne Bistro (Vancouver) – The question is whether $25 is considered too “fancy” for a burger. To me it is…
Cactus Club (Lots of places) – Despite I hate their concept in general, I wll have to admit their burger is quite good.

There are a lot of places for me to visit but I would still want to read what you have to write! :D

    • Thanks! I have never been to Burger Burger and I can’t wait to try it! I’ve been to Burger Heaven quite a few times, but not for well over a year, so I definitely need to refresh my memory. I will have to try db Moderne Bistro, but I think that’ll have to down towards the bottom of my list because it is so pricey. As for Cactus Club, I totally agree with you. They actually make a damn fine burger and it isn’t too expensive either. mmm hungry!

Is your burger mission limited strictly to beef burgers? What about other varieties of carnivorous burger? And veggie burgers?

Such a coincidence that I read this now – Just today I drove by two burger joints I haven’t seen before but would like to try – Romero’s Burger on W. 4th (used to be the Pinky’s Steakhouse, right next to noodle box) and Nimby’s down by kits beach.

Looking forward to more burger updates. Mmmm… beef
